Manufacturers cleaning instructions:
When I read that description,Β I thought the ‘delicately embroidered border’ sounded a bit sketch… like wash it once and it’s game over man.
The cleaning instructions does say you can machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach or soak. Dry without delay. Do not tumble dry.Β After extraction of excess water (weird turn of phrase), dry the article on a suitable flat surface. Warm iron at max 200 degrees on reverse if required (what’s an iron?). Do not dry clean.
North Shore Linens recommended cleaning and care:
Always err on the side of caution when it comes to water temperature – especially for darker fabrics. You can do a delicate cycle and we recommend turning the duvet cover inside out to protect the embroidery from snags – which is why it is recommended to wash it separately so zippers and other fabrics won’t cause damage.
If you have a zero temperature/ air-dry cycle option on your dryer, the lower the heat the smaller the chance of shrinkage, especially on the embroidery threads and we want you bedding to last you as long as possible! Obviously hanging to dry is best, but there isn’t always space to do it!
You are welcome to call or email us if you are ever unsure how to care for your newly purchased bedding!
